Welcome

I am an economist at Amazon. I got a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in June 2023, and my interests lie in Urban Economics, Crime & Violence, Public Finances, and Applied Econometrics. My current research covers crime and violence in Brazil, specifically the causal effects of both de-policing and local policing assignments (Police blitzes) on crime and violence and the cost-effectiveness of urban renewal projects that target disadvantaged neighborhoods in Fortaleza-CE.

At UIUC, I taught two advanced undergraduate courses: Urban Economics (Econ 414) and Causal Inference (Econ 474). You can find their websites with lecture notes, R code, homework assignments, and additional readings here.
